TELEHEALTH & ONLINE SERVICES FOR VIRTUAL CLIENTS

Telehealth Psychological Support Samford

Online Telehealth appointments (via Zoom) are now available for all clients. You can access these services as a private client or under Medicare. Medicare rebates are available for psychological services delivered via telehealth (videoconference) to eligible people in rural and remote Australia or those at risk of COVID-19.

Video-based telehealth enables real-time collaboration and communication from me to you. I regularly work with clients using telehealth and they find it relaxing to meet from the comfort of their own home, in their favourite chair/quiet area with a cuppa. Telehealth also reduces the requirement for child-minding as you can now book evening appointments after the children have gone to bed.

MEDICARE ELIGIBILITY FOR TELEHEALTH & ONLINE SERVICES

For rural or remote clients, to be eligible you must have a referral from your GP or psychiatrist; live in an eligible rural, remote or very remote location; be located at least 15 kilometres by road from the mental health professional and not be a patient of an emergency department or admitted to hospital at the time of the service. For those at risk of COVID-19, please see here for regularly updated eligibility criteria to access medicare rebates including bulk billing.
