The scale below is guided by the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi) schedule of recommended fees, however these charges are lower.
You do not need a GP referral to book an appointment.
Standard consultation $170 (50 minutes)
Couples consultation $190 (50 minutes)
Concessional appointments (pensioners, students and Healthcare card holders) $120 (Available between 10am and 3pm)
In the case of a cancellation, $60 will be charged for any appointment cancelled without 48 hours notice.
Intensive Couples Therapy
Midweek or weekend rates available. Midweek $3,610 and weekend $3,876 includes: Assessments and analysis, Individual pre-workshop sessions for each partner, 14 hours therapy over two days and one follow up session. Enquire for availability.
lMedicare rebates are available for those who have obtained a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from their GP.
Such a plan entitles you to 6-10 sessions in a calendar year with a rebate of $87.45 per session.
For clients seeking perinatal support, a referral from a GP is required to access a Medicare rebate of $63.20 per session for 3 x 30 minute sessions.
Bulk billing may be arranged for clients on a MHCP and in financial distress. Bulk billing appointments mean you have no gap fee. Please note that this must be discussed with Kristina before proceeding. She will take into consideration your individual financial circumstances.
Telehealth/VideoConferencing for the COVID-19 virus management:
As of 13 March 2020 new MBS items can now be claimed. These are video-conference items for Vulnerable/Isolated clients who cannot attend the clinic because of COVID-19. Vulnerable/isolated patients are those where at least one of the following apply:
(a) the person has been diagnosed with COVID-19 virus but who is not a patient of a hospital; or
(b) the person has been required to isolate themselves in quarantine in accordance with home isolation guidance issued by Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC); or
(c) the person is considered more susceptible to the COVID-19 virus being a person who is:
(i) at least 70 years old; or
(ii) at least 50 years old and is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; or
(iii) is pregnant; or
(iv) is a parent of a child under 12 months; or
(v) is already under treatment for chronic health conditions or is immune compromised; or
(d) the person meets the current national triage protocol criteria for suspected COVID-19 infection.
